A few changes

Our 32 year old son is arriving today.  He will be staying for 'a while' as he job hunts, perhaps redirects his career and life.  He is an ex-military medic, having served in Iraq.  He spent 6 months traveling across the country on his Trek for Hope before heading back to Tampa where his son lives.  He was able to work as security for a high class night club there, but only for 20 hours a week and that wasn't enough to live on.  Resumes were sent out everywhere but the job market there isn't too good.

So, he is reluctantly leaving behind his almost 5 year old boy to stay with us for a bit, hoping the job market here might be better.  Time will tell, but if you can, would you say a little prayer that all is successful in that arena?

I had an expectant couple stay with us for a few days for closer monitoring and because it seemed like she was starting to 'cook', but after several days of false hopes, she and her hubby left to return home to south GA yesterday and wait out the days until the baby decides on her birthday.  Hopefully they will be returning soon.

Loving this cooler fall weather but honestly I tend to be cold natured and can only hope it will stay this way and not get colder.  I'm old enough to know better, but still.....

I get to have a postpartum appointment this afternoon with a 10 day old baby boy and his momma.  That is always special.  Love checking on baby's weight gain and getting to snuggle and answer momma's questions and help her with any issues she is having.  It's my favorite season of providing care.
