We are moved in and I'm fairly set up. There are still boxes tucked into corners that aren't supposed to be there and need to be moved and unpacked. One of our beautiful entertainment stands that I had intended to be put into Tom's 'man cave' wouldn't turn the corner and go into the room in the basement, so it now resides in the laundry room holding cleaning supplies. Might be a blessing in disguise because there was no where else to put cleaning supplies. Sometimes you gotta punt.
When unpacking and setting up my scrapbook corner, I knew I was missing two large plastic bins full of 'stuff' for scrapbooking. I was in the basement looking for the vacuum cleaner and opened the door to the furnace room and not only did I find my vacuum cleaner but also spotted the two drawers full of my scrapbook items. Why men just set things anywhere I have no idea.
I was looking for something in my large office storage closet and saw a box of candles, light bulbs and emergency lighting in there. I don't know why, it just is.
I have a pile of garage sale items set aside and plans to go in together with a friend to do a garage sale in a couple of weeks. That will free up some space too!
Our washer and dryer had set unused for a year in the basement of our previous home while we used the set that were already in the house. Unfortunately, a year of sitting unused was apparently not a good thing for a couple of older machines. We found another used set of Maytag machines this weekend and they were delivered on Monday. I can finally wash clothes again. Around here with a husband in construction, that is critical.
We had a birthday celebration over the weekend for our youngest daughter, Kayla. It coincided with a visit from our grandson Benjamin and his mommy Raquel from Tampa. They flew up on Friday morning and I picked them up at the airport. It was SO NICE to have all of my grandchildren together under one roof. Loud, chaotic, busy and messy.....but nice.
This is the living room from the hallway. Bennett has found his favorite spot I guess.
This is the sewing/scrapbooking/dog crate room that also houses a shelf with gazillion research notebooks on various midwifery topics.
This is the dining room. It opens on the back wall to a large deck.
