Recent

Just a few things from this past week:
  • We're finally able to share the news that our daughter and son-in-law are expecting baby #2 in November.
  • Got to babysit Lucy while Erin went to her first prenatal visit
  • New client confirmed this week but I won't get to catch her baby as they will be moving to Hawaii before she delivers
  • I'm on call for a mother due soon who lives about 5 minutes away from me. She is another midwife's client but didn't know about me. She delivers pretty quickly and the other midwife lives an hour away, so it's fairly probable I will get to deliver.
  • One of my own clients is also in the due zone. Praying they don't collide.
  • Kept the youngest daughter's three children for the weekend and enjoyed them. We did Easter egg hunt that afternoon with their church family.
  • Got to see my two other sisters and my dad for lunch Easter Sunday. That's a rarity.
  • Planted some pretty flowers in pots and a few herbs also. I love the smell of fresh mint!
  • Reading a nutrition book called "The 80-10-10 Diet" which is more like a lifestyle change rather than a diet. Still reading and mulling some things over with it. Not sure just yet if I will make the jump.
  • Attending a community meeting this evening for a proposed birth center here. I don't consider it competition but a welcome addition to women's birth choices.
  • The owners have put the house we are renting on the market. It looks like another move is inevitable. I hate moving. Again.
Here's a couple of pics from the weekend:

My sister Francina, myself, my dad and another sister Paula.

Olivia and her Easter basket at the hunt.

Noah is enjoying the day too.

And Kate finds an egg. She really got into it and had quite a stash!

And we didn't get to see Miss Lucy Bird at Easter because she was in south GA but this is a picture of her from the weekend as she was enjoying a backyard swing at her other grandmother's house.

Didn't get to see our Benjamin either and have no current pic because I mostly get sent pics over my cell phone and haven't figured out how to move them from the phone to computer.
